How do I

qualify?

To qualify, you have to be an Indiana resident, be 22 years or older, have completed some of 10th grade, have access to a computer with internet, and have not completed a TASC or other high school credential.

In order for students to earn their high school diploma through the Indiana Workforce Diploma Program, they have to meet Indiana state graduation requirements. Every student receiving a public education through the state of Indiana must complete these graduation requirements to earn a high school diploma.

Once you are approved to be enrolled into the program, your Academic Coach will let you know your full graduation plan and which courses you’ll need to complete. As part of your post-secondary ready competency pathway, you have an option to complete an industry-recognized credential or a business concentration. We have the following IRCs to choose from:

CompTIA A+ or CompTIA ITF

These IT credentials allow students to demonstrate sufficient know-how to enter into IT customer service jobs. CompTIA ITF is a great option for individuals new to IT, while A+ is better suited to individuals who have some experience with hardware and software.

Healthcare or Culinary

ServSafe Food Manager

The ServSafe Food Manager credential is an important qualification for working in food service in residential healthcare facilities and restaurants.

Business or Logistics

Microsoft Office Specialist

For students who plan to enter into a traditional business environment, certifying in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and one other tool creates a competitive advantage for hiring.

Certified Logistics Tech (Manufacturing Skills Standards Council)

The MSSC CLT credential for business operations and logistics is recognized by business operations industry across the country with many employers guaranteeing interviews and offering very competitive wages for CLT holders.

Certified Production Tech (Manufacturing Skills Standards Council)

The MSSC CPT credential is widely accepted as verification of the knowledge and skills needed by entry-level production technicians in the advanced manufacturing space.

Childcare

Child Development Associate

For individuals who have at least 3 years’ experience working in preschools or daycares. This credential requires work experience hours, portfolio development, and an exam.

ServSafe Food Manager
